Today, we operate worldwide, producing innovative adhesives and sealants for automobiles, buildings and electronic devices, as well as precision-engineered sprockets, brake discs and automotive parts.
We employ 4000 people at over 40 locations worldwide. The Rain site in Germany produces high-quality adhesives and sealants, mainly for the automotive, electrical and general industries.
For our location in Rain am Lech we are currently looking for a full-time
Responsibilities:
- Development and adjustment of formulations for adhesives and sealants as well as process development for adhesive applications
- Independent manufacture of materials with subsequent extensive testing
- Independently analysing results and initiating further steps for developing formulation
- Working on own projects up to the market launch of new products and improvement of existing products
- Independent raw material and literature research (publications, patents, technical literature, etc.) as well as regular information on current technologies and new markets (market reports, news, etc.)
- Intensive information exchange with sales, customers, production and other departments in the Sunstar company
- Participation in quality management systems (e.g. APQP, audits, QMB)
- Support for smooth production processes in the company
- Preparation of presentations/reports for internal and external projects
- Occasional business trips at national and international level
Qualifications:
- Completed university degree in chemistry or chemical engineering (Master, Diploma, PhD or Bachelor with relevant professional experience)
- Knowledge or experience of adhesives and sealants or polymer chemistry is an advantage
- Several years of experience in the practical handling of chemicals in the laboratory as a requirement
- High degree of initiative, sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, curiosity, ability to work in a team, flexibility
- Good organisational skills, good communication skills and open to new ideas
- Confident handling of Microsoft Office
- Very good German and good written and spoken English skills
- - Driving licence class B
